We are into the third day of the Plastics show for client ASAClean, and I'm happy to say that the booth has been packed despite a few challenges. If you're ever wondering what goes on behind the scenes at those perfect-looking trade show booths, here it is:
Along with the usual range of audio tech issues (the microphone squealed in heart-attack-inducing loud static whenever it was turned on or off for some reason) and crowd issues (see my previous entry), we also discovered that my minor cough turned into loud coughing fits whenever I stepped near the extruder during the demo!
However, now that cough medication is being taken, carefully-timed lozenge application is implemented (10 minutes before each talk, just in case!) and water intake is doubled just to keep the throat lubricated, I'm happy to say that today's talks are going extremely well. The client graciously agreed to accept my offer of giving an additional presentation for free today to make up for the less-effective one yesterday that was interrupted by coughing. :-) What a kind and understanding client!
